Give new life to old bread
Re Saved is a family-owned bakery since 1986 and located in Hammarbyhöjden. They are known for their quality and craftsmanship and their great love for recycling. Their concept is to bake bread and pastries on stale bread.
They save bread and other goods that risk being thrown away due to Short dates / Passed dates, Ugly goods, Overproduced, Incorrect production etc. from manufacturers / shops / other bakeries. In this way, they can be resold at a good price in their new form
The problem
Re Saved is well known in Hammarbyhöjden and nearby areas. Now they want to reach out further and also become more accessible to the target group they have today. Their message is important and they want to reach out to more people and also get more partners.
THE ASSIGNMENT
Re Saved wants to invest in a new visual identity and a digital service. The goal is to spread the word and make people dare to use goods with a passed best-before date and thus reduce food waste.
MY ROLE
My role was to give Re Saved a whole new visual identity, UI Design and packaging design.
LOGOTYPE
The logo that I developed is both modern and classic. It is flexible and can be used in many different designs and works in all places where the company should be graphically located. The symbol consists of three wheat axes that form a circle, this represents the symbol for recycling and reflects a classic image of bakery symbolism. In the middle is a pretzel that forms a heart. It represents love and kindness and of course pastries!
Digital service
The purpose of the service is to both inform and educate people about food waste and to make it more accessible to order. With a digital service, the message will reach more people and food waste will thus be brought to attention. The website is a responsive website where an order can be placed as easily from a computer as from a mobile phone.
Packaging design
One of Re Saved's most important marketing strategies is to have clear and recognizable packaging and bags. You should immediately see that the customer has shopped at Re Saved. All packaging contains a text with a message about food waste. These are different from bag to bag.
